I went to Safety NJ for my CPR/BLS Provider Renewal and it was the best class I have ever taken. The owner of Safety NJ and teacher of the course, Scott Larson, was absolutely great. He was so knowledgeable and kept the class fun and exciting. I’ve taken lots of CPR classes in the past and this one was actually fun and I felt like I learned so much more. I HIGHLY recommend Safety NJ.
I took a CPR Certification class from them and it was totally knowledgeable! Although they play videos from the AHA as it was what the association wants, every questions asked to the instructors are answered very wisely. Instructors also explains things students forget to do during the skill test. I was very nervous to the point that I stutter words when doing commands on my skill test and the instructor told me to take deep breaths and do it over. They give you explanations why you should do what they teach and why you shouldn’t do other things.
Would highly recommend to get cpr certified here! Very organized and gets all the needed info
Went here to get certifed in CPR a couple of weeks ago. The instructors were knowledgeable and made sure we understood the material. The classes are small and well organized.
I came here for cpr certification! Everything was nice and organized, the instructor was perfect and clear with the material. Would highly recommend this to people!
Renewed my BLS there this week. The instructor is an EMT with many years of training and incredible stories that he shared with us throughout the 4 hours of class. He supplemented the American Heart Association instructional video with additional information and made sure everyone was doing the CPR and AED skills correctly and provided individual attention if needed. I can safely say I am confident in my BLS skills from doing the course here. Oh and they provided free coffee and donuts 🙂
I am an international customer who recently attempted to purchase an AHA textbook on the company’s website. Unfortunately, it has been discontinued. Not only did the owner Scott Larsen respond and generate a timely refund, he was kind enough to offer me an alternative at no cost and advice as to where I might locate the one I want. Scott, you are a gem. I would give you ten stars if I could.
Scott was so friendly and knowledgeable. Made getting cpr certified super easy!

Scott is a great teacher. Very patient and gets the ideas across so you can clearly understand. I will be coming here every time for my recertification for CPR.
I’m an RN who’s been certified for BLS, ACLS and PALS for eons, as well as past Heartsaver instructor myself. My 16-yr old just had to take her Heartsaver CPR & AED for school and I was able to observe. Scott is a great instructor. Stress free. And the training space is great!

Nurse friends in New Jersey,
The former CEO of RWJUH Stephen Jones’s son ( Stephen Jones, Jr.) is the CEO of a 150 bed hospital on the Texas coast. They have called us looking for volunteer nurses for one to two weeks to fly down (private jet leaving Newark Thursday morning) and be able to give their staff some relief. They’ll be happy if they can stay the week, ecstatic if they can stay two weeks. All expenses paid, but no salary (volunteer). They will cover cost of flying back here. Just need your license – they will cover malpractice under their plan. Please share this information and anyone who is interested, email me. They need 30 ICU nurses, 30 ED nurses and 30 med/surg/telemetry nurses. Thanks for spreading the word!
To volunteer, please contact Judy Schmidt, NJSNA CEO at firstname.lastname@example.org.
